Juanita Lorene Darrah Juanita Lorene Darrah, age 96, a resident of Cowgill, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri. Juanita was born the daughter of Charles Andrew and Lillie Adele (Daniels) Fowler on February 25, 1919, in Trask, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Donald Darrah on November 8, 1958, in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2013. She was a member of the Cowgill Baptist Church, Cowgill, Missouri. She was also a member of the Silver Haired Legislator from 1986 until 1989, Boy Scout Leader for Troop #333 in Parkville, Missouri for four years, federated Women's Democratic Club of the Sixth Congressional District, Oats, Hamilton Advocate News Correspondent since 1973, Polo News since 1980, Braymer Bee since 1982, and the Richmond Daily News since 1977. Juanita also served as Cowgill City Mayor for two terms, April 1980 until May 1984, President for Caldwell County Council on Aging, Advisory Board for Greenhills Human Resource Corporation, and President for Caldwell County Ladies Democrat Club. Survivors include three sons, Donald Payne of Afton, Oklahoma, Marty Darrah and wife Jeanna of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Michael Darrah and wife Romme of Mooresville, Missouri; one daughter, Carolyn Thomson of Gladstone, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one sister, Daisy Cartwright of St. Joseph, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Lester Payne, husband, Donald Darrah; one daughter Shirley Capachioni; two sisters, Jomanda Baker and Geneva Ruth Reed; and five brothers, Bennie Pierce, Ralph Fowler, Lawrence Fowler, Charles Fowler, and Bill Pierce Jr. Graveside services will be held at the Cowgill Cemetery, Cowgill, Missouri, on Monday, June 22, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
