Joyce Culbertson

Joyce Culbertson, age 61, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Joyce was born the daughter of Elmo Loyd and Elenora (Myrle) Miller on February 6, 1951 in Lexington, Missouri. She was a 1969 graduate from Hale High School. On October 25, 1969 she was united in marriage to Gary Culbertson in Bosworth, Missouri. She worked as a Med Tech for the Long Blum Retirement Center of Chillicothe, Missouri for fifteen years. She was an antique collector and loved sewing, angels, cooking, cola products, and boots. Joyce is survived by her husband, Gary Culbertson; two sons, Thomas and Gerald Culbertson both of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, Barney Loyd of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and six sisters, Rosemary Kennedy of Lincoln, Missouri, Shirley Stephens of Carrollton, Missouri, Linda Williams of Laporte, Colorado, Ruby Parker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Elnora Loyd of Kansas City, Missouri, and Sandy Moore of Marshall, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Philip Loyd. Services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. There will be no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
