Joyce Jeannette Anderson
Joyce Jeanette Anderson, age 80, a resident of Ludlow, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Cameron Regional Medical Center, Cameron, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Joyce was born the daughter of John William and Mary Ellen (underwood) Horn on June 24, 1939, in Mandeville. She was united in marriage to James R. Anderson on May 6, 1956, in Enon, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2002. Joyce enjoyed fishing, gardening, and most of all being a farm wife. She was an accomplished seamstress, an amazing cook, and a hairdresser for over 20 years. She touched many lives with her generosity. Her beauty inside and out was seen by all that knew her. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Survivors include two sons, Rich Anderson and wife Angela of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Jim Anderson and wife Donna of Breckenridge, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Brian (Sicily) Gatson, Matt (Amber) Gatson, John (Shellie) Anderson, Summer (James) Johnson, Crystal (Hugg) Stedem, Michael Gatson, Erin (Jeremy) Yuille, Trey (Holly) Stevenson, Tyler (Kristen) Anderson; twenty-eight great grandchildren, John (Sarah) Travis, Mckenzie, Caitlin, Justin, Skyler, AJ, Willow, Hagen, Hutson, Hadalyn, Camble, Maddey, Maverick, Maelynn, Tuff, Krew, David, Jesse, Adriana, Sylas, Jayce, Xenobia, Shelby, Baylee, Carli, Grace, and Jacob; and was expecting her first great-great grandchild, Nevaeh. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Jim; two grandchildren, James Anderson and Austin Anderson; three brothers, Bill Horn, John Horn, Jr., and Johnny "Red" Horn; and five sisters, Bertha Montgomery, Willow Lloyd, Helen Young, Juanita Good, and Roma Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 8, 2019, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 12 noon until 6:00 pm.
