Joshua Smith, age 38, a resident of Cowgill, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.
Joshua was born the son of Billy and Cherie (Boyer) Smith on June 28, 1983, in Ray County, Missouri. He was a 2002 graduate of Braymer High School, Braymer, Missouri. Joshua was united in marriage to Amanda Harmon on August 20, 2016, in Breckenridge, Missouri. She survives of the home. Joshua worked as a Chemical Operator at Bayer Crop Science, Kansas City, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with family, and spending time on the farm.
Survivors include his mother, Cherie Smith of Braymer, Missouri; his father, Billy Smith of Kansas City, Missouri; his wife, Amanda Smith of Cowgill, Missouri; two sons, Daxton Smith and C.J. Teel of Cowgill, Missouri; one daughter, Sawyer Smith of Cowgill, Missouri; one brother, Clint Smith of Colorado; paternal grandmother, Peggy Kehne of Braymer, Missouri; and paternal grandfather, Barry Smith of Climax Springs, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billy and Genie Boyer.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
