John "Jack" Clifford Thompson John "Jack" Clifford Thompson, age 78, a resident of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 at his residence. Jack was born the son of Clifford and Vera Corrine (Beaird) Thompson on April 11, 1934 in Meadville, Missouri. Jack was a member of the Aerie 2428 Eagles Club. He is survived by one son, Clifford Alan Thompson, of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Cynthia Lynn (Thompson) Barnes, of Franklin, Illinois; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Kathleen Sue Thompson and three brothers, James M., William M., and Jerrie L. There was cremation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Trosper Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eagles Club Aerie #2428 and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
