John William "J.B." Richardson

John William "J.B." Richardson, age 80, a resident of Marceline, Missouri passed away, Monday, August 26, 2019 at his home. He was born the son of John W. "Curly" and Charlene (Smith) Richardson on June 15, 1939 in Sumner, Missouri.
John was a 1957 graduate of William Chrisman High School, Independence, Missouri. He served in the United States Navy from 1957-1959. He owned and operated Richardson Enterprises in Springfield, Missouri from 1968-1990. He also worked at Armco Steel in Kansas City, Missouri from 1959-1968, was a preneed counselor for Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri from 1990-2000, and retired from Walsworth Publishing in Marceline, Missouri. He loved hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Survivors include one son, John A. Richardson and wife, Patricia of Belton, Missouri; one daughter, Michelle Richardson of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Randy Richardson of Sumner, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Deb Lewis.
Gravesides services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Lakeside Cemetery Sumner, Missouri.
