John R. Poulson
John R. Poulson, age 93, a resident of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri.
John was born the son of Harry and Gladys Opal (Hughes) Poulson on May 7, 1930, in Breckenridge, Missouri. He was a 1949 graduate of Breckenridge High School. He served in the United States Army 24th Tank Division during the Korean War. John was united in marriage to Wanda Hodges on November 24, 1951, in Breckenridge, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked as a farmer for most of his life. He was a member of the Tweedie-Murray American Legion Post #117 of Braymer. John served on the Breckenridge School Board, the TWP Board, and the Coop Board.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Kim Dolan and husband, Rodney, of Breckenridge, Missouri; and Karen Dunn of Braymer, Missouri; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Larry Dunn; and one sister, Joan Jurries.
Cremation was held. No services are scheduled at this time. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Hill Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
