John (Jack) Tynes Lineberry

John (Jack) Tynes Lineberry John (Jack) Tynes Lineberry, age 94, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Missouri Veterans Home, Cameron, Missouri. Jack was born the son of Roy M. and Edith (Stoner) Lineberry on December 8, 1922, in Hale, Missouri. He was a 1940 graduate of Hale High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was united in marriage to Lorraine F. Raabe on March 21, 1948, in Stanton, Nebraska. She survives of the home. Jack worked as a self-employed farmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was also a member of the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25. He enjoyed sports, flying and farming. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine of the home; one son, John R. Lineberry and wife Carol of Fremont Hills, Missouri; one daughter, Jayne L. Stickney and husband Mark of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Clint Lineberry and wife Jessica, Monica Hoover and husband Nathan, Jaclyn Wittenberg and husband Ben, Janelle Hammock and husband James; six great grandchildren, John D. and Jake Lineberry, Brayden, Brooke, and Bryce Wittenberg, and William Hammock; one sister, Marian Hymer and husband Glen of Columbus, Ohio; one stepbrother, Robert Knott and wife Dee of Carrollton, Missouri; and one sister-in-law, Ila Lineberry of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Wallace Lineberry. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 20, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
