John Harvey Hinnen

John Harvey Hinnen John Harvey Hinnen, age 64, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. He was born the son of Fred "Marvin" and Velma (Searcy) Hinnen on August 7, 1947, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He attended grade school at Manning School and Chula R-3. He was a 1965 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. He enlisted in the National guard in December of 1964 and served for 6 years until December of 1970. On November 26, 1969, he married Marie Marsh in Eversonville, Missouri. She survives of the home. He lived in the Chula Community all of his life, and raised his family there until 1995, when he finally got to live his dream and mov to rural Chillicothe. John worked for Morton Buildings, Inc. for 34 years and 9 months and just retired in December 2011. He was a member of the Highview Baptist Church and Livingston County Steam and Gas Association for 25 years. He was currently president for 2012, and was vice president for a number of years. He was an avid Antique Tractor Collector big and small, he enjoyed restoring old tractors, and he enjoyed hunting Deer. John enjoyed all the time he could spend with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. He is also survived by three daughters; Cathy Reed and husband Robbie of Marshall, Missouri, Barbie Cothern and husband Chris of Chillicothe, Missouri, Terri Dunn and husband Mark of Chillicothe, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Reed and wife Abby of Chillicothe, Missouri, Cody Reed of Marshall, Missouri, Caitlyn Cothern, Cayleb Cothern, Aaron Dunn, Kirsten Dunn, and Zack Dunn all of Chillicothe, Missouri; one great grandson Benjamin Reed of Chillicothe, Missouri; stepmother Lois Hinnen of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister Charlotte Faye Mammen and husband Jack of Chillicothe, Missouri; two brother-in-laws, Wayne Marsh and wife Joy of Milan, Missouri, Harold Marsh of Chillicothe, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Carol Fern Warren. Funeral Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, February 10, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friends may call after 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the May Cemetery, Chula, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highview Baptist Church or Livingston County Steam and Gas Association and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
