John L. Hicks Sr.

John L. Hicks Sr. John L. Hicks Sr., age 65, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away July 12, 2011 at Hedrick Medical Center Chillicothe, Missouri. He was born the son of Raymond "Shaker" and Hazel (Harvey) Hicks on August 9, 1945 in Meadville, Missouri. On November 5, 2009 he was married to Joyce Earlene Lee in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives him of the home. Mr. Hicks was a Truck Driver, enjoyed hunting, fishing and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Joyce of the home; two sons, John Hicks and wife Darcy and Jason Hicks and wife Joni all of Chillicothe, Missouri and one step-son Eric Paul Houston of Buffalo, Missouri; four daughters; Kimberly Schlegel and husband Dave of Wheeling, Missouri, Stephanie Copeland and friend Alan Petty of Maysville, Missouri, Kathy Reeves of Walls, Mississippi and Sherry Hicks and friend Tia Pittman of Chillicothe, Missouri; three brothers, Lester Hicks and wife Doris, and Wayne Hicks and wife Jackie all of Chillicothe, Missouri and Lawrence Hicks of Linneus, Missouri; twenty six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joann Dickson and stepson Robert Houston III. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe,Missouri on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. A family visitation will be held Thursday, July14, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.Friends may call Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on July 14, 2011 from noon to 9:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the John L.
