John Cook

John Cook John Cook, age 79, a lifelong resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at his residence. John was born the son of John and Florence Ella Denier (Vandergon) Cook on August 1, 1935, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1953 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. After graduating high school he attended the University of Missouri where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1957. John served in the United States Army from 1957 until 1960. He was united in marriage to Barbara Boehner on July 6, 1958 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. John became a Certified Public Accountant in 1963 and became a partner and worked at Harden Cummins Moss and Miller for 53 years. Survivors include wife Barbara Cook of the home: one son, David Cook, and wife, Sasha, of Kirksville, Missouri; two daughters, Cyndy Munday and husband, Tim, of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Jacque Cook and husband, Greg, of Seymour, Missouri; one sister, Rose Marie Tidik, and husband Dr. Nicholas Tidik of Burbank, California; and eleven grandchildren, Clinton Steely, Amanda (Steely) Ball, Nicole Munday, Anna Steely, Olivia Steely, Amber Bckstrm-Cook, Joshua Cook, Sarah Cook, Cedric Cook, Skyler Cook, and Sarita Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean Cook Miles and Ruth Cook Hein. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 1:30 P.M. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Missouri Baptist Home and/or the Forrest O. Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
