John Cole John Cole, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, former resident of Wheeling and Chula, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014, at his residence. John was born the son of Eunice (Nash) Cole on July 27, 1925, in White Cloud, Kansas. John served in the United States Army from 1948 until 1954 during World War II. He was united in marriage to Joyce Yoakum on December 24, 1976, in Brookfield, Missouri. She survives of the home. John worked for Butterfield Grain for eleven years and also worked for the Wheeling School District from 1986 until 1992. He attended the Light House Chapel, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a member of the VFW Post 858, Chillicothe, Missouri. John enjoyed fishing, John Wayne and western movies, and puzzles. Survivors include wife, Joyce Cole of the home; two sons, Johnny Cole Montano and wife Shereena of Waynoka, Oklahoma, and Gilbert Danner Jr. and wife Debbie of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters Tammy Danner of Chillicothe, Missouri and Lisa Jenkins and husband Randy of Chillicothe, Missouri; twenty-two grandchildren; and thirty-three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Dale Danner and Jerry Cole; one infant daughter; and three brothers, Jack, Eddie, and Bob Cole. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. There will be a family visitation on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
