Dr. John Airsman, age 57, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Chillicothe.
John was born the son of Terry and MaryBeth Airsman on July 10, 1966, in Jacksonville, Illinois. Dr. Airsman was a graduate of doctorate psychology program from Cal Southern with a Masters in Counseling from Missouri Baptist. He will be known for his work as a Counselor devoted to helping countless people suffering with addiction and mental health issues. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Dana Airsman, of Chillicothe; three children, Brittny Airsman, of St. Louis, Missouri, Nathaniel Airsman, of Mt. Dora, Florida and Meekah Airsman, of Chillicothe, Missouri; step-children, Justin and Cameron Schmitz and Samuel Strange, of Chillicothe, Missouri; his beloved grandchildren, Natelie, Kylie, Kensley, Christopher, Chase and Michael; one sister, Elizabeth May and husband, Greg, of Jacksonville, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Airsman.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
