Joe A. Howe, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Joe was born the son of Archie J. and Lula "Babe" M. (Allen) Howe on September 20, 1931, in Livingston County, Missouri. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Joe was united in marriage to Esther Louise Cobb on April 30, 1950, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1987. He worked as a plumber for Tip Top Plumbing in Kansas City, Missouri, for many years. Joe was a member of Soul's Harbor Church of God, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Survivors include one son, Joseph H. Howe of Laredo, Missouri; two daughters, Brenda V. Earp of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Helen Grace Golden and husband Frank of Laredo, Missouri; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Ruth Wessing of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther; two daughters, Joyce Bradley and Glenda "Sue" Constant; two grandsons, Bobby Earp and Billy Bradley; five brothers, Chester F., Everett Nolan, Ralph Rex, Wayne, and Howard Howe; and four sisters, Martha Long, Mabel Cox, Edna Schneiter, and Barbara Lingard.
There are no services scheduled at this time. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Hutchison Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
