Joan Stough

Joan Rey Stough, age 75, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, May 7, 2010. She was born on June 12, 1934, the daughter of Richard Allen and Alice Jean (Cuddy) McDowell in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1951 graduate of Chillicothe High School and a 1959 graduate from UMC with a BA in Business. On January 15, 1956, she married Joseph Stough in St. Joseph, Missouri. He survives of the home. Joan was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri and the Alter Guild at Grace Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She is also survived by one son, Mike Stough of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters Julie Resor and husband Mike of Chillicothe, Missouri, Janet Kinsella and husband Larry of Grant City, Missouri; one sister Jeannette Connors, of Blacksburg, Virgina; six grandchildren, Robert Stough and Katie Stough of Kansas City, Missouri, Joe Resor and Maggie Resor of Chillicothe, Missouri, Dylan Kinsella and Drake Kinsella of Grant City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Judith Ann McDowell. Services will be at the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a family visitation on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call after 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
