Joan M. Monley Joan M. Monley, age 86, a resident of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at Garden Terrace, Overland Park, Kansas. Joan was born the daughter of Anthony J. and Johanna (Jacobs) Widmar on March 2, 1931, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Richard Leo Monley on March 31, 1951, in St. Peters, Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2003. Joan was a member of the Perpetual Adoration Society. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Overland Park, Kansas. Survivors include three sons, Richard Monley of Overland Park, Kansas, Michael E. Monley of Overland Park, Kansas, and Patrick E. Monley of Kansas City, Kansas; and five daughters, Cynthia A. Vanberg of Overland Park, Kansas, JoAnn M. Fish of Fort worth, Texas, Jean A. Magdalena of Houston, Texas, Patti L. Alexander of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and Cheryl K. Casey of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Rosemary Masters and husband Vernon of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Richard Monley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Holy Cross, 8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212, on Friday, April 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Church of the Holy Cross, Overland Park, Kansas, on Friday, April 21, 2017, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Church of the Holy Cross, Overland Park, Kansas, on Friday, April 21, 2017, at 10:45 a.m. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
