Jo Ann Silvey

Jo Ann Georgia Silvey Jo Ann Silvey, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Jo Ann was born February 21, 1926, in Chillicothe, Missouri the daughter of Albert and Erma (Kelly) Elliott. She was married to George Silvey in Kansas City, Kansas, on May 10, 1945. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2011. Jo Ann was a 1944 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a member of American Legion Vern R. Glick Post No. 25 Ladies Auxiliary, Chillicothe, Missouri, Grand River Historical Society and RSVP, Chillicothe. Jo Ann is survived by one son, David Silvey and his wife Debbie of Gladstone, Missouri; two daughters Cathy Griffith and her husband Steve of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Beth Skinner and her husband Daniel of Chillicothe, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George "Bill" Silvey; and two brothers Dale and Bob Elliott. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 11, 2015, one hour prior to the service from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, May 10, 2015, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand River Multipurpose Center and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
