Jerald I. Carr Jerald I. Carr, age 83, a resident of Brookfield, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017, at his residence. Jerald was born the son of Paul G. and Averil (Troeger) Carr on October 30, 1933, in Hinckley, Illinois. He was a 1951 graduate of Maple Park High School, Maple Park, Illinois. He served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955 during the Korean War. Jerald was united in marriage to Lois Hewitt in 1957, in Elburn, Illinois. She preceded him in death on October 21, 2002. He worked at a Chevrolet dealership in Elburn, Illinois. He then worked for National Electronics in La Fox, Illinois. He later worked as a road maintainer for the Hurricane Township for many years. He also worked for MFA in Hale, Missouri. Survivors include three sons, Raymond Carr of Hale, Missouri, Dennis Carr of Liberty, Missouri, and Roger Carr and wife Tamie of Brookfield, Missouri; one daughter, Diane Dennis and husband Mark of Hale, Missouri; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Carr of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois; and two sisters, Dorothy Juns and Mildred Carr. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Hale Cemetery, Hale, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northeast Missouri and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
