Jennie Mann Jennie Mann, age 92, a resident of Mooresville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Jennie was born the daughter of Marlow Willis and Susanna Willie (Vogt) Stewart on December 2, 1921, in Mandeville, Missouri. She was a 1938 graduate of Ludlow High School. After graduation, she attended Northwest Missouri State University graduating in 1940. She was united in marriage to Oscar Franklin Mann on March 1, 1943, in Mooresville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2012. Jennie worked as a School Teacher in one room schools in Livingston and Carroll Counties for many years. She also worked as Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in Mooresville for 15 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, and gardening. Jennie was a good cook and enjoyed canning jams and jellies. She loved listening to music and was an avid Chiefs fan. Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Dawkins and husband Gareld of Mooresville, Missouri, and Karen Gray and husband Sam of Laredo, Missouri; three grandchildren, Dana Buttz and husband Joe of Platte City, Missouri, Randy Gray of Chula, Missouri, and Ellen Gott and husband Noel of Chillicothe, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Morgann Buttz, Derek Gray, Bryce Gott, and Brock Gott; and two brothers-in-law, Orvil Mann and Otis Mann and wife Charlotte both of Mooresville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar; one son, Larry Mann; and one brother, Willard Stewart. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe Missouri, on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville, Missouri.
