Jeffrey Michael Roath Jeffrey Michael Roath, 43, of Boonville, Missouri, died Saturday, June 8, 2013, in a motorcycle accident just west of Boonville on Route K. Jeffrey was born February 14, 1970 in Chillicothe, Missouri to David Leon and Kathryn Ann Matheny Roath. Jeff was an 18 year veteran of the U.S. Army and received numerous awards and citations and was awarded a Purple Heart while serving in Iraq. He survived several deployments serving his country in the U.S. Army's prestigious Airborne Ranger Battalion. He was a Correctional Officer with the Missouri Department of Corrections at Boonville, Missouri. He loved cats and thoroughly enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Jeff is survived by Judy Simmons of the home; his parents of Parkville, Missouri; four sons, Jeffrey Michael Roath Jr. (Brandi) of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Jacob Tyler Roath of Parkville, Missouri, Dylan Thomas Roath of Parkville, Missouri, Camaron Griffin Roath of Iowa; one step-daughter, Kelsey Smithpeter; two grandchildren, Madison Lee Roath, Hailie Isabella Roath; two uncles, Stephen Roath of Raytown, Missouri, Mike Matheny of Calilfornia; and one aunt, Dee Dee Matheny of Queen Creek, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Helen Roath of Chillicothe, Missouri and Dr. R. W. and Betty Matheny of Honolulu and Las Vegas, Nevada. Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, June 14, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to Patriot Guards of Central Missouri or Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter, a no kill animal shelter in Parkville and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
