Jean Marie Triplett, age 88, a former resident of Linneus, Missouri, passed away, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was born the daughter of Ira Cox and Grace Warner, on June 20, 1924 in Mullen, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Thomas Lee Triplett on March 15, 1944, at Alpha Baptist Church near Laredo, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2004. She was a 1942 Laredo High School graduate. Later in life she went on to obtain her LPN license. Jean was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and attended the Christian Church in Laredo. She was a member of DAR, True Blue Club, Meadville Saddle Club, and the Hecla community. She loved playing pitch with the ladies at Morningside, traveling, fishing in Canada, spending her winters in Texas, farming with her husband, and riding horses. Survivors include three sons, Dick Triplett and wife Shirley of Melton, Florida, Steve Triplett, and wife Joyce, of Browning, Missouri, and Paul Triplett, and wife Marsha, of Linneus, Missouri; one sister, Esther Baker of Springfield, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Nola Cox, of Lyndon, Kansas; six grandchildren, Thomas Triplett and wife Theresa of Linneus, Missouri, William Triplett and wife Jamie of Prattville, Alabama, Lisa Misenheimer and husband Charlie, of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Stephanie Murray and husband Mickey of Waynesville, Missouri, Jeremy Triplett, and wife Jennifer, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jill Ellinger and husband Ken of Chesterfield, Missouri; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and close friend, John Raymond of Fulton Beach, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son; Jerry Allen Triplett; one brother, John Cox; and one sister, Joanne Creason. Funeral Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m., at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Burial will be held in Alpha Cemetery, Laredo, Missouri.
