Janis Sue Meisberger, age 64, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022, at her residence.
Janis was born the daughter of Henry and Bonnie (Bowler) Kerns on July 2, 1958, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Don Meisberger in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death. Janis worked as a cook at Indian Hills – A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. She also worked as a cook for Livingston Manor, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Janis loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include four daughters, Angela Ranes of King City, Missouri, Shelly Rucker and husband Anthony of Chillicothe, Missouri, Mikie Meisberger of Kansas City, Missouri, and Billie Silverio of Springfield, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Steve Kerns and wife Carla of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Jerry Kerns and wife Shirley of Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and four brothers, Robert, John, Ora “Orie”, and Tom Kerns.
