Janet Darlene Ross, age 68, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at her residence.
Janet was born the daughter of Otis Bert and Martha Mae (Killian) Harper on November 30, 1952, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. Janet was united in marriage to Randall Ross in Blue Mound, Missouri. He preceded her in death in January of 2012. She was a member of the House of Prayer, Chillicothe, Missouri. Janet was also a member of the Cherokee Tribe.
Survivors include one son, Scotty McCracken of Chillicothe, Missouri; three daughters, Tammie Breeden and husband Jim of Chillicothe, Missouri, Chloe McCracken and wife Rebekah of Colorado, and Crystal Coughran and husband Eddie of Chillicothe, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Harper and wife Analyn of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Gene Harper of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; and her companion, Jack Daniels (K-9). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randall Ross; two brothers, Jim and Jerry Harper; and Sophie Lynn (K-9).
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation.
