James Francis Waddill
James Francis Waddill, age 67, a resident of Cameron, Missouri, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019, at Cameron Regional Medical Center, Cameron, Missouri.
James was born the son of Francis S. and Hilda R. (Mattingly) Waddill on July 1, 1952, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1971 graduate of Chillicothe High School. James served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1974 until 1983. He attended the Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas, graduating in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in business. James worked for the United States Postal Service in Kansas City, Missouri, for 15 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Survivors include one sister, Gina R. Waddill of Kansas City, Missouri; and cousins, Scott Mattingly of Kirksville, Missouri, and Jim Chapel of North Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O. Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
