James William Ralston James William Ralston, age 86, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, former resident of Liberty, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri. James was born the son of Orville Lee and Rose (Bradley) Ralston on August 18, 1926, in Pleasanton, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Betty Jo McCaslin on March 15, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri. She preceded him in death in 1992. On March 24, 1995, James was united in marriage to Mildred Ralston in Bolivar, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 2, 2012. He served in the United States Army during World War II. James worked for M and F Drywall for many years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1654 of Chanute, Kansas, and was also a member of the Soul's Harbor Church of God, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Tharp and husband Randall of Kansas City, Missouri, and Marsha Lynch of Prescott, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one sister, Cecilia Hall of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty; second wife, Mildred; two daughters, Roxanna Kirby and Judy Niass; two sons, John Ralston and Amos Ralston; two brothers, Samuel Ralston and Wayne Ralston; and three sisters, Genice Utterback, Evelyn Ayres, and Jane Rist. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 4, 2013, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
