James Oliver Keeney

James Oliver Keeney James Oliver Keeney, age 85, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at his residence. James was born the son of William and Lesta (France) Keeney on June 5, 1928, in Hamilton, Missouri. He was a 1947 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served in the Army National Guard. He was united in marriage to Dolores "Dee" Shanks on April 15, 1981, in Linneus, Missouri. She preceded him in death on April 14, 1997. Jim worked as a Salesman for Beatrice Foods for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He attended the House of Prayer Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a member of the Chillicothe Eagles Aerie 2428. Survivors include one son, Jim Keeney and wife Robin of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Pam Thieme and husband John of Chillicothe, Missouri; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and friend, Francis Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores; one brother, Gene Keeney; and one sister, Barbara Johnson. Graveside services will be held at Lock Springs Cemetery, Lock Springs, Missouri, on Monday, April 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, April 21, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, April 19, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O' Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
