James "Jim" Howard Kille
James "Jim" Howard Kille, age 91, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at his residence.
Jim was born the son of Frank and Mabel (Chapman) Kille on April 27, 1929, in Sharpsburg, Ohio. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1948 until 1952. Jim was united in marriage to Sylvia Elizabeth "Betty" Mapes on September 25, 1976, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked owned and operated Chillicothe Carpet Service from 1956 until 1983. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Kille of the home; six children, Tim and Paula Kille of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Steve and Marcella Kille of Windermere, Florida, Greg and Cindee Kille of Chillicothe, Missouri, Melinda Cass of Brookfield, Missouri, and David and Tammie Carr of Springfield, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Carlos Kille of Colorado, and Tommy Kille of California; two sisters, Norma of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Patty of California; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Harold, Charles, Donald, Johnny, Clarence, Gene, and Dean Kille; and four sisters, Mary, Gertrude, Helen, and Edith.
Private family graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
