James Edwin Hussey James "Jim" Edwin Hussey, age 69, a resident of Avalon, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. Jim was born the son of Mansur William and Eva Jeannette (Mace) Hussey on September 19, 1945, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Jim was united in marriage to Doris Sue Minnis on November 10, 1963, at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. They were married for 51 years. Jim attended the Avalon and Tina-Avalon schools up to the 11th grade, and then moved to Illinois his Senior year, where he graduated from Triad High School, Highland, Illinois, on May 28, 1963. He was employed as a laborer all of his life, working for the Coca Cola Plant, as a Welder for Jim's Welding, Milbank Mills, Mid America Dairy, Jerry Condron Plumbing, and the Water District #1. Jim was a member of the Avalon Methodist Church, Avalon, Missouri, since April 12, 1969. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Doris of the home; one son, Michael Edwin Hussey and wife Robin of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter Rebecca Sue Huntsman and husband David of St. Joseph, Missouri; four grandchildren, Rachel Huntsman and Alex Huntsman both of St. Joseph, Missouri, Sarah Hussey and Derek Hussey, both of Chillicothe, Missouri; two brothers, Jack Hussey and wife Norma of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Bill Hussey and wife Pat of Avalon, Missouri; and one sister, Linda Donoho and husband Jim of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sisters, Betty and Judy Hussey; and three brothers, John, Jerry and Lonnie Joe Hussey. Graveside services will be held at the Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 9, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 9, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
