James H. Dial, Jr. James H. Dial, Jr., age 78, a resident of Richmond, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. James was born the son of James H. and Hazel Nadine (Reed) Dial on August 24, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Judith Ann Roberts on December 8, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death on December 20, 2003. James worked as a truck driver for Scott Heller Trucking for many years. Survivors include three sons, Lester Dial and wife Dottie of Norborne, Missouri, Michael Lynn Dial and wife Tina of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Robert Shannon Dial and wife Debra of Lexington, Missouri; one daughter, April Ranee Mescar and husband Gregg of Michigan; his "Doll", Jo Crose of the home; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Dial, Sr. of Pleasant Valley, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith; two sons, James H. Dial, Jr. III and Christopher Dial; son-in-law, Buck Rae, Jr.; and one sister, Alice Altman. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, September 18, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, September 18, 2017, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Hospital Hospice and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
