James Marvin Cranmer James Marvin Cranmer, age 87, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013, at North Kansas City Hospice, North Kansas City, Missouri. Marvin was born the son of Bruce and Viola (Shipley) Cranmer on October 24, 1925, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 until 1946. He was on the U.S.S. Thetis Bay and served as a Coxswain 3rd Class Boatman Mate. Survivors include Betty of the home; one daughter, Connie Cashatt of Chillicothe, Missouri; two grandchildren, Clint Tullos and wife Stephanie Braymer, Missouri, and Vallerie Tullos of Kansas City, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Joseph Tullos and Clay Tullos; two step children, Dianna Haynes and husband Bill, and Floyd Kincade and wife Tammy; five step grandchildren, Tiffany Whorton and husband Dustin of Trenton, Missouri, Taylor Haynes of Kansas City, Missouri, Jacob Haynes of St. Louis, Missouri, Caden Haynes of Kansas City, Missouri, and Hunter Burton of Chillicothe, Missouri; and two step great grandchildren, Kayla Geyer and Kohner Geyer of Trenton, Missouri Grace Haynes of Memphis Tennessee. He is also survived by two sister-in-laws Retta Cranmer and Pauline Cranmer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Ralph, Clyde, Allen, Troy, and Orville; two sisters, Beulah Cranmer, and Otha Gash. Graveside services will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
