James Leroy Cranmer James Leroy Cranmer, age 78, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. James was born the son of Ralph Leroy and Stacy Mae (Gash) Cranmer on November 3, 1936, in Chillicothe, Missouri. James served in the United States Army from 1957 until 1959, at which time he earned the Sharpshooter and Good Conduct Medals. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline L. Ross on March 22, 1953. She preceded him in death on July 12, 1973. He was then united in marriage to Ellen "Ann" Paxman on December 29, 1987, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. James worked and retired as a Truck Driver for Consolidated Freightways for many years. He enjoyed Bluegrass Music and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Ann of the home; one son, James Leroy Cranmer, Jr. "Bo" of Gallatin, Missouri; two daughters, Beverly Jean Webb of Gallatin, Missouri, and Cathi Louise Cranmer of Chillicothe, Missouri; one stepson, Doug Turner of Riverside, California; four stepdaughters, Emily Massey of Whitewater, Colorado, Tina Lindsay of Wichita, Kansas, Doreen Paxman of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Annette Lloyd of Grand Junction, Colorado; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; thirteen step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Cranmer of Pattonsburg, Missouri; two sisters, Patty Ford of Loveland, Colorado, and Carolyn Fields of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sonny and Robert Cranmer; and his first wife, Jacqueline Louise Cranmer. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 7, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, November 6, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, November 6, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Laclede Cemetery, Laclede, Missouri.
