Jackie Sue Owens

Jackie Sue Owens, age 78, a resident of Laredo, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care Hospital, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Jackie was born the daughter of Alfred and Betty (Bennett) Gardner on March 8, 1946, in Trenton, Missouri. She graduated from Laredo High School. Jackie was united in marriage to Ronald “Ronnie” Owens on January 18, 1964. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2002.
Jackie was a member of Laredo Baptist Church. She retired from Trenton Foods as a line worker. She liked working in her flower beds and gardens. Jackie also enjoyed collecting antiques and watching her television shows, especially old westerns.
Survivors include one son, Ronald “Punky” Owens (Lori) of Laredo, Missouri; one daughter, Cissy Loyd of Laredo, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jenna Vandel (Ryan) of Trenton, Missouri, Ronna Owens (Brandon Jones) of Laredo, Missouri and Mckenna Owens (Piercyn Charbonneau) of Joplin, Missouri; one great granddaughter, Beckett Vandel and a great grandson on the way; her mother, Betty Gardner of Trenton, Missouri; and two sisters, Connie Jean Miller of Parkville, Missouri and Jan E. Hoke of Independence, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father; and her husband, Ronnie.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri, on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri, on Thursday, December 19 , 2024, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Burial will be held at Richardson Cemetery, Laredo, Missouri.
