Jack LeRoy Herrington Jack LeRoy Herrington, age 78, a resident of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. Jack was born the son of Claude Abner and Hermine "Billy" (Rothacher) Herrington on November 6, 1938, in Breckenridge, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Joyce A. Kleeman on July 26, 1959, in Hamilton, Missouri. She preceded him in death on March 15, 1997. Jack was the first manager at the Coop Station in Breckenridge, Missouri. Jack worked as a supervisor of construction for Green Hills Telephone for 37 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the Breckenridge United Methodist Church, Breckenridge, Missouri. He was also a member of the Rose Hill Cemetery Board, and a past member of the Breckenridge School Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, going to auctions, going to the boat, spending time at his shop, and working with stained glass. He always looked forward to Bloody Mary Sunday's. Survivors include two sons, Craig L. Herrington of Breckenridge, Missouri, and Ricky J. Herrington and wife Laura of Breckenridge, Missouri; two daughters, Cheri L. Carpenter and husband Dick of Breckenridge, Missouri, and Amy L. Heldenbrand and husband Brian of Cameron, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Ashely Thompson, Patrick Herrington, Kayla Herrington, Austin Heldenbrand, Whitley Heldenbrand, Michael Carpenter, and Philip Carpenter; five great grandchildren, Carson Thompson, Case Thompson, Brantley Thompson, Hadley Herrington, and Litton Carpenter; one brother, Stanley Herrington and wife Terri of Bates City, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Keith Moorshead of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jack Kleeman and wife Marilyn of LaGrange, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Judy Cox of Holt, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; two sisters, Shirley Moorshead, and Teresa "Terry" Morrow; and one brother-in-law, Jim Morrow. Funeral services will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Friday, January 13, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Friday, January 13, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
