Ivan Jacobs

Ivan Jacobs, age 73, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, former resident of Chula, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at his residence. Ivan was born the son of Peter Lee and Hallie Mae (Plowman) Jacobs on January 28, 1939, in Chula, Missouri. He served in the United States Navy from 1957 until 1959. Ivan worked as an electrician for Marshfield Homes, Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. He is survived by one sister, Betty Surber of St. Jacob, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Crystal Lynn Jacobs; one brother, Elvin Jacobs and wife Shirley; and one-brother-in law, Leroy Surber. Graveside services will be held at Ricketts Cemetery, in Chula, Missouri, on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 1 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Ricketts Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home P.O.
