Irene Fern Wilson, age 82, a resident of Cowgill, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
Irene was born the daughter of Lloyd and Ilah (Shaddy) Hudson on November 28, 1936, in Grove Springs, Missouri.   Irene was a 1955 graduate of Hartville High School. On March 1, 1957, she was united in marriage to Lonnie "Gene" Wilson, in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2012. Irene was a member of the Braymer Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, canning, walking in the country and reconnecting with old friends on Facebook.
Survivors include: two daughters, Debra Pope and husband Alan of Hardin, Missouri, and Carla Murray and husband Rick of Braymer, Missouri; one son, Tim Wilson of Cowgill, Missouri; nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Ilene Shaver of Hartville, Missouri, and Carlene Brandstetter of Marshfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gene; two sons, Danny Ray Wilson and Russel Lloyd Wilson; daughter-in-law, Dawn Wilson; and one brother, Darrell Hudson.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, September 30, 2019, from Noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Cowgill Cemetery, Cowgill, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Braymer Church of Christ and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
