Ingra "Maxine" Eckert Ingra "Maxine" Eckert, age 89, a lifelong resident of Chula, Missouri, went to heaven on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Maxine was a strong willed and loving person. She will be missed by all that she touched. Maxine was born the daughter of Glen and Ethel (Brott) Hosman on May 7, 1924, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1941 graduate of Chillicothe High School. After graduating High School she graduated from the Kansas City Business College in 1943. She was united in marriage to Stanley Lee Eckert on June 14, 1946, in Chula, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1972. Maxine worked as a book keeper for Chula Coop for many years and was a teacher's aide at the Chula School. She worked for Clarence Eckert for 15 years at Medicine Creek Inn. Maxine also worked as a Township Collector and a Democratic Committee Member for Medicine Township. She was a lifetime member of Oakley Methodist Church, and then the Presbyterian Church of Chula, Missouri. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Dadiras and Charlene Bloss of Chillicothe, Missouri; one son Clarence Eckert and Sheree Corbin of Chula, Missouri; her beloved dog, pepper of the home; two sisters, Geraldine Hosman of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Eva Janelle Podrasky and husband George of Aurora, Colorado; three sister-in-laws Judy Reber and husband Bill of Toledo, Ohio, Mary Ellen Hasman of Independence, Missouri, and Fren Eckert of Laredo, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, Angela McMahan of Thorton, Colorado, Kenten Williams and wife Lynnette of Sturgess, Missouri, Dennis Eckert and wife Allisha of Chillicothe, Missouri, Scott Eckert of Chula, Missouri; Tara Bolander and husband Louis of Springfield, Missouri; and Brent Bloss and wife Chrissy of Meadville, Missouri; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Stanley; sister Marion Super; two brothers, Glen Burton Hosman and Charles Hosman; four nieces, Suzanna Turner, Gayla Nash, Carolyn Eckert, and Shelia Jones; two nephews Lyle Eckert and Melvin Eckert. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, October 28, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, October 27, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, October 27, 2013, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wallace Cemetery, Chula, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Wallace Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
