Inez Newbrough

Inez Newbrough Inez Newbrough, age 79, a resident of Chula, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Inez was born the daughter of Daniel and Emily (Moore) McIntyre on March 22, 1935, in Adel, Georgia. She was united in marriage to Dean Newbrough on February 11, 1956, in Adel, Georgia. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2004. They moved to Chula from Adel, Georgia in 1969. She worked in the garden center at Wal-Mart for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 858 of Chillicothe. She was actively involved in Relay For Life, she loved gardening, sewing, and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Riggen and husband Leland of Chillicothe, Missouri; three sisters, Ruby Baker, Debbie Cason, and Linda Dodd, all of Georgia; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean Newbrough; daughter Mickey Newbrough; one son Earl Dean Newbrough; grandson Juston Newbrough; great-grandson Kyle Garthwaite; two sisters, Inell Suggs and Mary Hancock; and one brother Eastman McIntyre. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri. A potluck dinner will be held at the Chula Community Center following the graveside service.
