Inez L. Franklin

Inez Franklin, age 90, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Inez was born the daughter of Robert Taylor and Minnie (Porter) Taylor on January 23, 1922 in Utica, Missouri. She was a 1939 graduate of Utica High school, Utica, Missouri. On December 31, 1940 she married Hubert Franklin in Utica, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1993. Inez spent all her life in Chillicothe and Utica, Missouri. She was the owner and operator of Franklin's One Stop in Chillicothe, Missouri. She also worked with commercial and residential rentals. She was a member of the 19 Club, Chillicothe, Missouri, as well as the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She loved travelling and playing cards. Inez is survived by her three daughters, Beverly Poppenhagen and husband Leonard of Kansas City, Missouri, Mary Ann Daum and husband Wes of Branson, Missouri, and Leona Turner and husband Dan of Chillicothe, Missouri; five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hubert Franklin; three brothers, Arthur Taylor, Alden Taylor, and Leroy Taylor; two sisters, Geraldine Clemens and Ellen Holt; one grandson, Stephen Poppenhagen; one great-grandson, Drake Davenport. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. There will be no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
