Ina Jean Kimberling, age 80, a former resident of Jamesport, Missouri, passed away at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, September 26, 2010. She was born the daughter of Roy Alfred and Mary Pearl (Walker) Smith on August 17, 1930 in Jamesport, Missouri. She was a 1948 graduate of Jamesport High School. On June 6, 1948, she married Joseph Luverne Kimberling in Jamesport, Missouri. He preceded her in death. She worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for Hoffman and Reed and she was also the co-owner of K & W Farm Services. She was a member of the Community of Christ. She is survived by three daughters Mary Ann Ihler and husband James of Columbia, Missouri, Joan Sweets and husband Ted of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Betty Kimberling of St. Joseph, Missouri; a daughter-in-law Kelly Kimberling of St. Joseph, Missouri; two brothers George B. Smith and J. Ray Smith and sister-in-law Jayla all of Jamesport, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jonathan Ihler and wife Becky and Chris Ihler all of Columbia, Missouri; Katie Ashley and husband Devin and Tobi Allison Kimberling all of St. Joseph, Missouri, Tracy McConnico and husband James of Independence, Missouri and Kim Sweets of Belton, Missouri; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son Robert Kimberling, an infant son David James Kimberling and a sister-in-law Lula Smith. Funeral Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 30, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Thursday prior to services from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call after 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, Jamesport, Missouri.
