Ilda Belle Hughes Ilda Belle Hughes, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. Ilda was born the daughter of Elmer and Harriet (Page) Stoffregan on December 16, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a 1943 graduate of Lock Springs High School, Lock Springs, Missouri. She worked on the production line for S & K Industries for many years. Ilda enjoyed bowling, traveling, and volunteering at the Grand River Multi-Purpose Center. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include five sons, Larry Hughes and wife Shirley of Warsaw, Missouri, Bill Hughes and wife Juanita of Rayville, Missouri, Duke Hughes and wife Judy of Rayville, Missouri, Ronald Hughes and wife Meri of Braymer, Missouri, and Harold Hughes of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; one daughter, Penelope "Penny" Banhart and husband Fred of Rayville, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; fourteen nieces and nephews; and many people she called her kids and grandkids and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Stoffregan; one sister, Anita Lister; one niece, Peggy Lister; one nephew, Tim Stoffregan; one sister-in-law, Rusty Stoffregan; and one brother-in-law, John Lister. Funeral services will be held at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, November 12, 2016, one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
