Idella Frances Akers Idella Frances Akers, age 98, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Idella was born the daughter of William F. and Annie Ethel (Clark) Reeter on February 3, 1916, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Olen Ray Akers on July 6, 1932, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1979. Idella and Olen owned and operated a boarding home for the elderly for many years. She was a caregiver all of her life. She was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Idella enjoyed baking. Survivors include two sons, Melvin Ray Akers and wife Patricia Ann of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Marvin Wayne Akers and wife Dianna Sue of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Linda Moore of Trenton, Missouri; nine grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Olen; one daughter, Patricia McDowell; great granddaughter, Courtney Noll; one daughter-in-law, Ann Akers; three sons-in-law, C.E. Noll, Bob McDowell, and Gary Moore; three sisters, Leona Maye, Minnie Rachel, and Elta Cristinia Reeter; four brothers, Rollie Richard, George Phillip, William Kelsie, and Roger Gillis Reeter. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
