Hugh A. Owings Hugh A. Owings, age 74, a resident of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016, at Belton Regional Medical Center, Belton, Missouri. Hugh was born the son of Howard A. and Eva Mae (Barron) Owings on December 8, 1941, in Braymer, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Donna Sperry on October 8, 1961, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Hugh worked as a truck driver for Gulley Trucking Company for many years. He was a member of the St. Sabina Catholic Church, Belton, Missouri. He loved fishing with his children and grandchildren. Hugh enjoyed hunting, animals, working in his yard, especially mowing yards, flowers and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Donna of the home; one son, Hugh W. Owings of Sheldon, Missouri; three daughters, Edith Navarrete and husband Tony of Hollywood, Florida, Candi Dunlap and husband Kenny of Milan, Missouri, and Suzanne Nunn of Independence, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and his beloved pets, Sissy and Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Willy L. Smith; one brother, James Owings; and twin sisters. There was a cremation.
