Howard E. Paris Howard E. Paris, age 83, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Howard was born the son of Tom and Chloe (Burnside) Paris on September 2, 1930, in rural Hale, Missouri. He attended Grace Elementary School. He was a 1948 graduate of Hale High School, Hale, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Key on April 22, 1957. She survives of the home. Howard served in the United States Navy from 1951 until 1954. He worked as a farmer at his home West of Hale his whole life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed antique tractor pulling and working with livestock. He loved the Village of Hale and the surrounding communities. Howard served on the Stokes Mound Township Board and the Hale Fire District. Survivors include one son, Kevin Paris and wife Michele of Hale, Missouri; one daughter, Karen Brownell of Jefferson City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Marcie and Mitchell McCauslin and Logan Paris; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Paris of Hale, Missouri, and Veva Jean O'Neal, of Bogard, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Merle Key of Carrollton, Missouri; one stepsister, Norma Jean Hodges of Broomfield, Colorado; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Flossie Paris; one brother, John Allen Paris; two brothers-in-law, Bill Key, and his son, Billie Key, and Delmer O'Neal; and one granddaughter, Rachel McCauslin. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and also on Thursday, October 17, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri. Burial will be held at Hale Cemetery, Hale, Missouri.
