Howard Dail McCombs "J.R." Howard Dail McCombs "J.R.", age 56, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. J.R. was born the son of Howard D. McCombs and Dixie McNally on August 27, 1957, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1975 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served in the United States Air Force for 3 years. Howard was a member of the House of Prayer Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include two sisters, Pammy Leora McCombs of Brookfield, Missouri, and Tammy Lenora Chapman of Chillicothe, Missouri; one nephew, Corey Scott Chapman of Chillicothe, Missouri; one niece, Sherry Dawn Chapman of Chillicothe, Missouri; one great nephew, Quintyn Scott Chapman of Chillicothe, Missouri; an aunt, Wanda Bagley of Brookfield, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Anderson-Smith Cemetery of Chillicothe, Missouri.
