Howard F. Mallory Howard F. Mallory, age 92, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013, at Cameron Regional Medical Center, Cameron, Missouri. Howard was born the son of Jesse Grundy and Ola Mary (Tucker) Mallory on September 16, 1920, in Hardin, Missouri. He attended rural school in Ray County, near Hardin, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Marie McBee on June 1, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas. She survives of the home. Howard served in the United States Army during World War II, in the South Pacific, for the 860th Engineer Aviation Battalion. He also served as a construction foreman and as a Spec 5. He worked as owner/operator of Mallory Construction since the 1950's. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; one son, Norman Mallory and wife Dorothy of Braymer, Missouri; one daughter, Rosa Lee Carr and husband Tommy of Sturkie, Arkansas; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren,; two brothers, Wallace Burton Mallory of Carrollton, Missouri, and Lester Lee Mallory of Chillicothe, Missouri; and one sister, Billie Griffin of Cameron, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jesse Tucker Mallory, and Grundy Ellesworth Mallory; and five sisters, Gertrude Padgett, Falecia Felber, Beatrice McBee, Viola McGinnis, and Lilly Mae Still; twin sisters, Genavene Mallory and Evalene Mallory; and two great grandchildren, Hannah Faith Prewitt and Blake Matthew Prewitt. Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, February 18, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Sunday, February 17, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Braymer First Christian Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
