Helen M. Wayman, age 87, a resident of Wheeling, Missouri, passed away at Livingston Manor in Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, June 10, 2010. She was born on February 18, 1923, in Gentry County, Missouri, the daughter of Emory Lykins and Alice (James) Lykins. She married Charles M. Wayman in Princeton, Missouri, on February 21, 1942. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1974. Helen moved from Albany to New Hampton in 1963 and was a resident in Wheeling, Missouri, from 1968 to 2007. Helen was employed by the Wheeling R-4 School District as a cook for 18 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Wheeling Baptist Church, Royal Neighbors of America Camp 6611, and the Northwest Missouri School Food Services Association. Survivors include two sons, Gene Wayman and wife Linda of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Gary Wayman and wife Denise of Wheeling, Missouri; three daughters, Nancy Perez and husband Jim of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Sue Thomas of Kansas City, Missouri, and Carol Douglas and husband Cecil of Wheeling, Missouri; one brother, Max E. "Jiggs" Lykins and wife Viola of Albany, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kenneth Lykins. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, June 14, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call on Sunday, June 13, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Albany, Missouri.
