Helen Ruth Thompson Helen Ruth Thompson, age 79, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Helen was born the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Williams) Wattenbarger on September 29, 1935, in Milan, Missouri. She worked as a waitress and cashier at Stop and Shop, Parkway Market, Queen City, Tasters Choice, Windmoore, Strand Hotel, and Gieres Hardware. Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include, three daughters, Sharon Norris and husband Robert of Hale, Missouri, Sherry Thompson of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Vickie Thomas and Mike Gillilan of Chillicothe, Missouri; two brothers, Donald Wattenbarger of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Max Wattenbarger of Zebulon, North Carolina; five sisters, Peggy Wilbur of Kansas City, Missouri, Kathy McCollum of Lewisburg, Tennessee, Amber Quigley of Kansas City, Missouri, Nancy Webster of West Plains, Missouri, and Judy Henley of Mountain Home, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and longtime friend, Bill Weaver of Hale, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson Nathaniel Guy Thomas; one great-grandson Thompson Robert Stefancik; one sister Louise Ford; and one brother Carl Wattenbarger.
