Helen "Renee" Jones

April 30, 1961 — April 15, 2022

Helen Renee (Shepard) Jones
Helen Renee (Shepard) Jones, age 60, a resident of Dawn, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at her residence.
Renee was born the daughter of George D. and Mary Helen (McElheny) Shepard on April 30, 1961, in Ft. Scott, Kansas. She attended Bishop Hogan Memorial School and graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1979. She attended Rockhurst University and was a respiratory therapist. She was a member of St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe Missouri where she married Dwight Jones on March 22, 1980. He survives of the home.
She was a huge giver of her time and talents. Renee was always known as the one who could throw the best party. Her house was immaculately kept, decorated seasonally right down to the table and place settings. Her home was known as the favorite summer hang out among friends as the pool was filled up early and the food was always exceptional. She spent countless hours following her children around the state watching them do their respective activities and sports, all the while making sure everyone had everything they needed. (That included other parents and kids). She created many keepsakes for her kids, grandkids and their friends that will be cherished forever. She was the master of the Cricuit. Her attention to detail was widely known. Renee was a member of Junior Sorosis.
She was most proud of her family. Dwight was the love of her life. He was her best friend. It was always known if one was around, the other was somewhere close by. Her children and her grandchildren were also the loves of her life. There was nothing she wouldn't do for any of them. She lived a rewarding, Godly life and she will be missed by many.
Renee is survived by her husband, Dwight, of the home; her mother, Mary Helen Shepard, of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Jessica Harrison, of Dawn, Missouri and Amanda Knapp, and husband, Dan, of Merriam, Kansas; one son, Benjamin George Shepard Jones, of Columbia, Missouri; five grandchildren, Gunner Harrison and Tristin Harrison, both of Dawn, Missouri and Harper and Hudson Williams and Cole Knapp, all of Merriam, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, George D. Shepard, Her sister, Kelly Shepard Morris, and her mother and father-in-law, Virginia and Ben Wood Jones, and her uncle, David Shepard.
