Helen Darlene Jennings, age 90, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Leisure Village Health Care Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Helen was born the daughter of Dallas and Winnefred (Miller) Hines on July 3, 1928, in Linneus, Missouri. She attended Jamesport High School, Jamesport, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Ollie "Gene" Jennings on April 8, 1947, in Jamesport, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1998. Helen worked as a machine operator for Knowles Electronics in Elgin, Illinois, for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Elgin, Illinois. Helen loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila K. Cook of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one son, Randal G. Jennings; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and two sisters, Irene Crumpacker of Roanoke, West Virginia, and Frances McCracken of Urbana, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; two brothers, John and Bud Hines; and one sister, Dorothy Kunstman.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 11, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
