Helen Lee Crabtree Helen Crabtree, age 87, a resident of Sun City West, Arizona, former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at her residence. Helen was born the daughter of Sumner and Gladys (Wynn) Tucker on November 24, 1925, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She graduated from Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. After graduating high school, Helen went on to attend Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to M.W. "Pat" Crabtree on December 20, 1946, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1988. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she and Pat donated the pipe organ. Survivors include one sister, Betty Blades of Roanoke, Virginia; three nephews, Jim Crabtree of Lake Jackson, Texas, Steve Blades of Wirtz, Virginia, and Robert Blades of Roanoke, Virginia; and one niece Debbie Reid of Salem, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband. Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, March 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, February 28, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
